Liberal Democrats call for improved bus services
Liberal Democrat Councillors have fought to tackle to reduced frequency of services, low passenger numbers and increased prices for many journeys.
Last summer, Lib Dem Councillors on Warwickshire County Council moved a motion to ensure member involvement in putting together the bus service improvement plan (BSIP). This was agreed and a plan was submitted. The bid was unsuccessful - Services are still suffering from a reduced frequency of service and low passenger numbers and now Stagecoach have raised the cost of many journeys.
Lib Dem Councillors have now passed yet another motion at the May Council meeting to ask the BSIP working group to look at the plan to identify improvements that could be funded by the County Council.
