At a recent Council Meeting, Buckinghamshire Conservatives voted down a Liberal Democrat proposal to secure an additional £3 million to improve and repair our pavements despite the increasing problems across our town with cracked and broken pavements.
Adam Poland-Goodyer, Buckinghamshire Councillor for Aylesbury West, said, "By refusing our amendment to put an extra 3 million to repairing our decaying pavements, the Conservatives are letting down Aylesbury Residents yet again. It would be a sad legacy for the home of the Paralympics for our pavements to become inaccessible. These repairs are badly needed and came up time and time again on the doorstep when speaking to residents during the election. You would have thought Buckinghamshire Conservatives would have gotten the message after the Local Election results in Aylesbury this May but they continue to ignore residents."
Please sign our petition below calling on Buckinghamshire Council to back Aylesbury Liberal Democrats' proposal and commit to making these badly needed repairs.
Whether you've already signed up to the campaign or aren't ready just yet, you can still help encourage other people to sign up.
