After contributing millions of pounds to the project, Aylesbury taxpayers are at risk of being ignored by East-West Rail. Despite promises made by the Conservatives, the Department of Transport has made no commitment to deliver the desperately needed spur to re-join the Aylesbury - Milton Keynes - Oxford, East West Rail link.
The long-planned rail connection would deliver economic growth to our town and provide much-needed infrastructure for the tens of thousands of new housing that the Conservative-led Buckinghamshire Council is building on our green spaces. If the Aylesbury Spur is not delivered as promised this will be the latest in a long line of broken infrastructure promises and wasteful spending of taxpayers' money by local and national Conservatives.
Please sign our petition below calling on Chris Heaton-Harris, Minister of State for Railways, to get Aylesbury Taxpayers what they keep getting promised - real rail infrastructure investment, and build our Aylesbury Spur as planned.
