Gloucester Liberal Democrats are calling to extend free school meals so that no child living in poverty misses out - even during holidays and periods of lockdown.
After a high-profile campaign led by footballer Marcus Rashford, the Government provided food vouchers for the poorest families through the summer holidays.
With the Government refusing to go further and permanently extend eligibility for free school meals so no child living in poverty misses out, we want Gloucestershire County Council and Gloucester City Council to guarantee vouchers for all future school holidays and periods of lockdown.
Sign our petition to ensure those families get the help they need, not just as a one-off but as part of a long term plan to end child hunger in Gloucester.
Whether you've already signed up to the campaign or aren't ready just yet, you can still help encourage other people to sign up.
